Heena Joshi a is proficient commercial career professional, whose business development experience ranges across a diverse spectrum.  Raised in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, Heena’s academic accomplishments are compelling, with both an LLM (King’s College) and MBA (UoL), through which she has forged her regarded competencies. 

 

The prominence in her early career at the helm of an aviation infrastructure development company, advanced her shrewd comprehension of project financing for long-term infrastructure development.  During this tenure is where she devised a build, operate and transfer system of funding structures coupled with necessary legal agreements, i.e. concession contracts with host governments.  Her work was across the region of Sub-Saharan Africa, and closely with leading internationally reputed firm, White & Case South Africa. 

 

Mostly recruited by international firms in the role of CEO or Managing Director, Heena’s focus has been on leading all the business development efforts of the companies she’s been employed within, including the development and implementation of business strategies.  Described as ‘instinctive and resilient’, her career has spun around mining development projects, both greenfield and brownfield reserves and a prominent exposure to dispute resolution and litigation, she describes herself as a commercial and legal consultant. 

 

As a director on a number of company boards, including a ZSE listed asset management company, Heena also has a personal mentorship interest, and works actively with new business development projects proposed by women of underprivileged backgrounds.
